Introductions IV

Hello!

Sorry it's been a minute. This is the final part of the introductions...featuring our Andalusian mares. Some have been with me for as long as I've had the stud, while others are rather new, but we'll get to all that.

On the far left, SAL Devil Wears Prada. An eight year old mare we bought shortly after we bought our first stallion. Diva is the flashiest horse at the stud, all chromed out and with the smoothest trot we've ever seen. She's already dropped two gorgeous foals, both sired by Commodore and both highly successful in the show ring. She currently competes in Dressage and has earned 92 points.

Second, Zelia de Cortesana. A six year old mare we stumbled upon at a nearby stud several years ago, that we just had to have. She's a gorgeous faded black and has the sweetest disposition. Eager to work and always on the hunt for cookies or other treats. She collects naturally and has a really forward trot. Zelia currently competes in Dressage and has earned 82 points so far.

Third is Manzanita. A five year old mare bred right here at the stud. ZiZi as we call her, is an absolutely stunning solid homozygous black mare sired by our very own Commodore out of Diva, and has already surpassed both her parents in talent as well as on record in the show ring. She competes in Dressage and has already earned 90 points.

Fourth is YDA Roma. A four year old bay mare we bought from a neighboring farm within the last year. She has excellent lineage, and we are thrilled to have her as a part of our program. She can be a bit pushy at times, and can be difficult to handle as she is completely massive and dwarves all but one of our other mares. She currently competes in Dressage and has earned 53 points.

Next is NLS Sweet Cassanova. Another four year old bay mare we got from a good friend Remi Clarke, thought I don't remember if she was a gift, or if we bought her properly. Cassie is super sweet, an in-your-pocket sort of mare who just wants hugs and kisses. She eagerly comes to you in the field, and just about begs you to take her out for a hack or a spin in the arena. We aren't too sure how her career will go, as she's more interested in being loved on than she is in competing, but we aren't going to give up on her just yet. She currently competes in Dressage and has earned 39 points.

Last, Orquestra Do Retiro Connor. Even more four year old bay mares. Can you tell that we love bays? Her name is quite a mouthful, and we haven't quite come up with a suitable nickname for her, but that's ok. We bought her only a few short months ago from a neighboring stud who also breeds Andalusians as a prospective broodmare. She's on par with Roma as far as size goes, and the two are just about inseparable when in the field. She currently competes in Dressage and has earned 45 points.

We have an outstanding line-up of horses, and all of them are doing so well both in and out of the show ring. We can't wait to see where their careers take them, and eventually what sort of future generations they will produce.

Cheers,
